Learn for Betterment
A responsive website
I created this platform to help college students in Technological and Managerial programs find tutoring help. It allows domain experts to share their knowledge and experience, inspiring and aiding thousands of students in their growth.
'Learn for Betterment' is an innovative platform that aims to revolutionize the way both learners and teachers connect and engage. With a wide array of resources and opportunities, learners can truly benefit from the platform's free tutoring classes, mentorship programs, and expert lectures.
The platform serves as a bridge between knowledge seekers and passionate individuals who are interested in teaching.
By becoming a tutor or a mentor, these enthusiastic individuals can share their expertise, wisdom, and experiences, ultimately creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Through this collaborative approach, 'Learn for Betterment' empowers learners to expand their horizons and fosters a spirit of lifelong learning.
To move forward in this project I followed steps for the design process.

THE PROBLEM
Some students learn at a slower pace and may benefit from individual coaching. This group of students requires extra focus on subjects and enhancing their performance.
THE GOAL
To create a space for people to share their knowledge and wisdom with others in order to make a positive difference in society.
IDEATION - In order to gather ideas for the platform, I decided to employ a technique that struck me as both innovative and effective - the crazy Eight Technique. This technique proved to be quite useful in generating an abundance of ideas within a short amount of time. With a pen and paper in hand, I eagerly began my brainstorming session, dividing the paper into eight sections.
Each section was dedicated to jotting down a different idea, allowing me to explore various possibilities for the platform.
Encouraged by the swift flow of creativity, I found myself embracing the freedom and flexibility that this technique offered. The crazy Eight Technique truly pushed the boundaries of my imagination, propelling me to consider unconventional solutions and embrace the unexpected. This exercise highlighted the power of stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing innovative techniques to fuel creativity and inspiration.
WIREFRAMES -I first made paper sketches, then created digital designs for the mobile app version of the website.
USABILITY STUDY -1
I conducted an unmoderated usability study-1 and came up with these insights to start working on mockups:
Include a section to view missed out/recorded panel discussions sessions.
Categorize the section ' Expert talks' based on different genres.
MOCKUPS - I designed mockups for mobile app, tablet, and website at the same time. Here are some selected mockups of the Learn for Betterment app for different devices.
HIGH-FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
The results from the second round of usability studies using a low-fidelity prototype helped me create a high-fidelity prototype.

IMPACT
The entire goal of this project is to provide a platform where individuals can come together to exchange knowledge and ideas, ultimately propelling our community towards progress. By fostering a space where information can be freely shared and discussed, we aim to facilitate the collective growth and development of our society.
It is through this collaborative effort that we hope to steer our community in the right direction, harnessing the power of knowledge to navigate the challenges that lie ahead.
The users were delighted and satisfied with their experience, expressing excitement about the goal of the application, and also appreciated the seamless and effortless process flow of the application.
LEARNING
I learned how to apply design principles to create designs that work well on different devices and screen sizes.
